Webmail: "ERROR: Could not append message to Sent Messages"

When sending a newly composed messages, Webmail responds with "ERROR: Could not append message to Sent Messages. Server responded: Permission denied". The message IS actually sent but not entered into the Sent Messages box.

In addition a second message is displayed: "ERROR: Bad or malformed request. Server responded: Unrecognized command"

Any thoughts?

Check that the admin user you have set in
impad.conf is not also the name of any group (user group) on your server.

In 10.4,
cat /etc/imapd.conf | grep

should return:

admins: cyrusimap

Also, when logged in via webmail, check the "Folders"option, at the bottom of the page, and unsubscribe to any shared folders that should not be listed there.

As I have indicated above, the default in 10.4 is "cyrusimap" and not "admin"

If the name there is instead "admin" it should not be, and even then I advise against using "admin" as the actual account name for your main admin account.

If you are attempting to use cyradm, then your configration is not as it should be.
