I really don't have much cause to play CDs on my iMac anymore, but it seems that on my new iMac with an external CD/DVD drive it is not recognizing audio discs. In Finder, I don't see the files, and iTunes is not seeing them either and not playing them. When I take the same CD to my MacBook it fires right up. What is going on???

All CDs? Even non-music ones?
Have you restarted your computer?
It is possible the drive is not being recognized. That would be more of an iMac hardware trouble shooting question, or possibly one for the OS version you are
