airport utility won't open get error "requires windows 7 with sp1". I have. PLEASE help

I am unable to open the airpot utiliy to check for updates, etc. Currently have only laptop using router but i want to add wifi radio and wirless printer. No problem with using internet but I did go through 2 bad airports before I got this one to work. I am completely frustrated and wondering why people rave about apple products.

I have a hp pavilion running win 7 home premium sp1 using windows firewall. Utility does not open. When clicked error message "Airport utility requires windows 7 with service pack 1 or later". It used to open, don't know exactly when it stopped. I want to add wifi radio and wirless printer. I also have an external hd plugged into the ae to which I don't get access. Bonjour print services downloaded w/o prob but the version you refer to first told me to disable virus protection but still was not successful. Are bonjour and bonjour print services the same?

What I'm not 100% sure on is, whether or not, the AirPort Utility for Windows runs on the "Home" editions of Windows 7. As you are aware, Windows 7 comes in a variety of "flavors." I believe the requirement to run the AirPort Utility is that your operating system is at least Windows 7 Pro.

I will try to get a copy of the Home Premium version and install it in a Virtual Machine on my Mac. Then see if I can successfully install and run the AirPort Utility. I will let you know my findings. Note: I'm not sure why this utility used to work for you before. It may be possible that a recent update to Windows may be the cause.
