failed to restore apple tv using iTunes

hi,

i connected apple tv in Israel. set manually the time zone, tried to connect to iTunes store using my Apple ID credentials, however it failed saying time zone must be set. Apple community suggested to restore, and I did it while it was connected to the tv. later on, when I reconnected apple tv to the TV, the screen showed a picture of usb cable with itunes icon. So i connected the device to my pc and restored from itunes- this failed with 9006 error.

any suggestions?
