TIP: Literally Type Unicode From Your iPad

Okay, so I was thinking and I just came up with an idea.

So, on social networks you may see people typing unique Unicode symbols such as "".

So, as of before this post, there was no easy way to do so without copying/pasting from a website.

UNTIL...

Shortcuts.

Yes, shortcuts. They're an easy solution to typing symbols from your keyboard.

To activate shortcuts, go to General>Keyboard>Add New Shortcut...

Basically, where it says "Phrase" is where you want to paste FOR THE LAST TIME the Unicode symbol you want to type STRAIGHT FROM YOUR KEYBOARD.

Where it says "Shortcut" is where you want to put what you will type to trigger the symbol.

So for a black star [✮] you could put for the shortcut (bstar) and for the Phrase you could put ✮.

I hope this helped some of you type symbols faster on social networks and everywhere else on your iOS device!
