DVD Player stopped working

The DVD Player on my PowerBook G4 just stopped working. I can hear the DVD spin when inserted in slot. Viewer window that opens is small, not full screen as set in DVD Player preferences. Selecting 'Play' 'menue' or even 'Eject' results in "Supported Disc Not Available" message in viewer window.
