Q: I have been stuck on the setting up screen for 3 hours now!!!!HELP!!!?!?!?!?!?

Last night I started the upgrade. This morning when I woke up it was ready to install so I installed it. When I got home this afternoon it said to restart the computer so I did. Now it has been stuck on the setting up screen for more than 3 hours. Is this normal?

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

See if this works...

 

Turn your Mac off

 

Wait about ten seconds then startup your Mac while holding down the Option key.

 

That should launch the Startup Manager window where you can select the startup disk then click Restart.

 

That way you can find out exactly which OS X is installled.
