Issues with wireless network

I am having issues with my wireless network. I was attempting to set up an extended network (with two air ports) and accidentally 'forgot' the base station. I hard reset the base station and the network came back up but base station keeps dropping the internet connection despite the fact that it is connected to the router via Ethernet. I have tried resetting the router, hard resetting the base station, restoring the base station to factory defaults, and still no luck. HELP!
