Merging Powerpoint Presentation into Keynote Presentation

I have a Powerpoint Presentation that I need to merge into a Keynote Presentation. Is there anyway of copying the PP slides, background and all, into the Keynote Presentation?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

open the ppt file in Keynote, drag the slides from the opened ppt file into your own Keynote preso.
