My mother got a brand new iPad Air two days ago. I just remembered that she gets iWork and iLife for free, but when she looks for them in the App Store they are not showing up as being free. Any ideas?
I have to check when I get my hands on it.
After activating your iPad, go to the App Store and search for your free apps:
1. Pages
2. Numbers
3. Keynote
4. iPhoto
5. iMovie
6. GarageBand
If apps are still showing the price: sign out>reboot>and sign in again
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID
1. Make sure you purchase/activate iPad after 1st September 2013?
2. Make sure you use the Apple ID you use to Activate the iPad to download apps?
3. Did you sign out, reboot and sign in again?
4. Make sure it is registered in My Support Profile?
Thanks. As I said earlier, I am not sure it is signed in. That will probably be the answer. It was bought 2 days ago, so not worried about that one.
