On my iMac, Images are no longer displayed in YouTube though the videos work normally. What should I do to display the images? I do not have the same issue on my Windows PC.

iMac, iOS 5

Unfortunately this does not fix the issue. I have also shut down and reloaded the iMac and still have the same problem. As I had cancelled my Google account, I recreated an account which allows me to log into YouTube again but the images still do not appear and the "Subscribe" buttons are inactive so I am no longer able to subscribe to favourite channels etc. I have run out of things to try. Any ideas would be welcome.

I'm having the same issue running OS X 10.6.8. No previews, no comments, none of the icons work (I can't log out!). I've reset Safari, emptied cache, deleted Flash history, re-started, you name it. A couple of nights ago, there were "500 Server errors", trained monkeys working on it, etc. Now all I can see are empty blue boxes. Notifications don't work either. Very frustrating. YT is my go-to site for instructional videos. I'm subscribed to several DIY channels, and comments are always helpful - now I just get "loading" endlessly and the little revolving circle. Any help would be fantastic!

No problem daMeeze. The library we're looking for is actually the user library. So, there's 2 options you have. First, if you hit command+shift+g, a "go to folder" dialogue will pop up. Type in ~/library and it will take you to the user library. Or, if you're running 10.7 or later, click on go, hold option on your keyboard, and "library" will appear in the list. Click it. Then dump the caches folder in there. The /library is a system library and I doubt that would have the broken caches.

Sorry - still empty gray boxes in YT. I trashed the cache, reset, even re-booted. It's like mouse click commands are also locked up in YT. I can't browse subscriptions or read comments. I tried to click on YT Help but nothing happens. I can sign in but not out - go to Goodle (which I hate), and it doesn't show me logged in there.

Even when NOT logged in, there are only gray boxes. I just added that because someone else said it was ok not logged in, but went to gray when logged in. With all the focus on security issues, has this syetem been compromised?

One last thought - with the Server issues the other day, I could log into YT with my Android phone. Since then the desktop issues have occured. Coincidence? I've disconnected and de-synced. This is so frustrating. Thank you for your patience and help!

Hey daMeeze,

It looks like you're having a different issue than the OP. I'd suggest starting your own thread so we can work individually with your issue. As for security concerns, I wouldn't really fret too much. If I were trying to get data, I'd entice you to use something, not prevent you from using it. So, I'd try another browser, and if that doesn't work, start your own thread.
