Q: iphone 5s fingerprint ID problems

Is anyone having problems with fingerprint ID?

It works for a few times after setting up but then does not work.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1

From what I understand you are running into issues with your fingerprints not being recognized with the iPhone 5s's Touch ID sensor.  Please take a look at the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve this issue:

    This solved my problem especially the last couple of sentences.  Turns out that if I wipe my finger on my clothes before trying to unlock the phone it works everytime.  I guess I have oil or something build up on my finger that prevents the read.  I use other bio-mechanical devices for recognition and the finger print reader doesn't have that problem.  Could be because of the size, resolution or sensitivity of the home button.  In any case, the information helped.
