incoming imap server login issues in outlook 2010. using apple server id imap.mail.me.com and login details without me.com. tried other port settings and TSL and address with me.com but still getting

I use eircom broadband and have difficulties setting up my me.com mail on outlook 2010.

The outgoing server sends test messages but I time out logging on to the imap server.

I have the icloud consul with the mail box ticked and the address appears on my inbox file bar.

I have tried all types of email address combinations with the me.com , without it , with my apple id login, changed port numbers changed from ssl to ts to auo

the imapm server is imap.mail.me.com

user name : icloud email address without the domain ending

Password - Apple ID password

Any assistance?
