I need to update my outgoing mail password on the primary email account however, I cannot access the password field to update the password. All the fields in the outgoing primary mail screen are not accessible by the touch screen. How can i update my password?

Thank you for the question. You can update your email password by in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars after tapping on your email address. This should update the password for the incoming and outgoing server.
