bootcamp and paralles desktop
I currently have bootcamp installed on my mac but find the switching process cumbersome. Is it possible to install Paralles Desktop 9?

Yes. You can use your Boot Camp installed Windows as the Parallels guest operating system. The Parallels site has instructions on how to do this.
