Power point won't open on the desktop. It opens and shows a window in mission control, but I can't get it to show up on any desktop. Help!

This is extremely annoying. Powerpoint (2011 version) shows the window in mission control, but when I click on it, it won't open on the desktop. I have no idea how to fix this. Please help.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Same thing here. I've tried everything possible including assigning powepoint to a specific desktop. No windows open but when you slide for mission control (mac book pro touch pad) a small powerpoint window appears off the desktop. When I click on it, it goes back to whatever desktop I was working on but no powerpoint window.

I echo your frustration, it is incredibly annoying.

Thanks in advance if someone can help!
