hosting my live wordpress site on my imac

Hi
So we are leaving our remote host $$ and want to run our existing php wordpress - web site off our imac. The imac is more then capable fyi

Here is what we did so fare:

1 full back up image from cpanel on remote host.
2 Filezilla down the zip file that is a "full back up"
3 placed it in Library/WebServer/Documents and unpacked it.Turned on "web share" / made sure php was turned on.
4 redirected my DNS set for the domain to our IP. and waited till it was ready.
Im using OS 10.7.5 MAC FYI and I get nothing but a page

"Index of /
[ICO] Name Last modified Size Description
Apache/2.2.26 (Unix) DAV/2 Server at atlantics-imac.home Port 80"

and if you type in the domain to the address bar via browser; it try to access the router.

Best regards

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), i7 , 16 gig mem, 4 tb storage

Hi,

You need to activate mysql on your local server as well. WordPress requires both the files from your webhost and a mysql serverconnection as well.

This will help:

Did you forward port 80 to your server, which does have a static IP address right?

Then files served in the Default location of the webserver should start to work.

You might need to go deeper inside /Library/Web/Data/Sites/Default/ that should be your wordpress starting point.

After that you need to edit your wordpress config file to point towards the correct mysql server, now your local iMac Server.

Goodluck
