    You were looking at a support article. Those usually don't quote prices, though that one does say

     

    You might be asked to validate your billing information at this point.

     

    After you've added a valid payment method, click Subscribe to continue.

     

    Note: You can use store credit to pay for your iTunes Match subscription; however, you must have a valid payment method on file at the time of sign up.

     

    which is sort of a hint that there's a cost involved. The primary iTunes Match page:

    is very explict about the cost.
