May 9, 2014 8:10 AM in response to jheleneby joe_73,Hi jhelene,
It sounds to me like you have downloaded a song from iTunes but when you try to listen to that song it just stops playing. I suggest you delete that song from iTunes and re-download it fresh. The following article explains the issue it sounds like you are experiencing.
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely

This article shows you the steps on how to re-download your purchased song from iTunes on a Mac or PC.
Download past purchases

iTunes Store
- Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
- Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.

- Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
- Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.

- Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you will see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.

- Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download. If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
Cheers,
-Joe

Jul 26, 2015 2:32 PM in response to jheleneby noqued,This is happening to me all the time both with downloaded and with streamed content, even though the broadband connection is OK. It happens both on the Mac and on the iPhone. Some songs just make the player suddenly stop or skip the song. Seems like a bug to me.
