Bluetooth and Jeep Uconnect

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this issue: I can successfully pair my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.2) with my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee's Uconnect Bluetooth audio system, and it generally plays music fine. However most of the time (70-80%) the Uconnect display can't show the song data (title, artist, album, genre). Sometimes it will work, then mysteriously stop, other times it will NOT work, then mysteriously start; it's very sporadic. But most of the time it simply doesn't work. Anyone else experience this, or know of a fix? Re-pairing the phone does not help, in fact this has been happening going back to my iPhone 4s. Thanks.

I am using iPhone 5 IOS 7.1.2. I can pair the phone to my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan but it doesn't hold connection. If I flip the phone to speaker, uConnect will override but not all the conversation. The only way to move forward is to "forget the device" in my user settings. Crazy .... not to mention potentially dangerous since we get these hands free devices for a reason. Anyways, I called uConnect directly only to learn they have been having issues with IOS 7.1 and later with no ETA on an upgrade to the uConnect system. Interesting since you say you've been having issue with earlier operating system as well. My van is at the Dodge dealer right now for diagnosic and reflash in hopes to correct. Ford Sync seems to work fine ... interesting how Dodge cannot keep up.
