Trouble with Apple ID

I deleted the email I used for my Apple ID thinking I could make a new one with a new email. It worked but after a couple days it asked for my old Apple ID. When I entered it in it said "apple password is incorrect for security purposes" that's because my email account is deactivated. So how can I log in to my new account? I've tried turning off iCloud but it also asks for my old password for my old email saying it "incorrect for security purposes" PLEASE HELP THANK YOU

Hey phamsterific,

Thanks for the question. You'll want to temporarily change your Apple ID back to the old email address (you shouldn't need to verify it). Once changed, sign out of iCloud and all other services. After you have done that you can change your Apple ID to your new address:

3. Change your Apple ID temporarily

If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:

1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.

2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.

3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.

4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.

Thanks,

Matt M.
