I've been using Logic for a while now, using a single midi controller. I've recently expanded my setup and added a MOTU Micro Lite midi interface. It works great, no problems and both devices show up in AMS.
However, in the manual for the Motu it says to add devices for the receiving synth modules to AMS and connecting them to the input devices' connectors. I've not done this before, I get the idea, but why would I do this. Surely if I add a device the hardware doesn't "know" it's been connected as I can't see how it would.
I've read the help files and various resources on the web but I'm non the wiser. Can so some explain?
