How to recover viber messages ?

App data is part of the icloud and itunes backup. IF you been backing up on a regular basis then restore your phone from your backup.

settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - then use the backup to restore back to.

IF you're asking me this question about icloud backup, then that tells me that you don't have an icloud or itunes backup. So you won't get back your viber message.

repeat - if you been backing up your phone on a regular basis then you can restore your phone from your backup, because app data i.e. viber message is part of the backup.

If you don't have a backup, then you can't get those message back.

You had an icloud or itunes backup prior to you deleting the app? IF you did those message would return to yoru phone.

doing a backup now as I already stated will only give you back your current data.

have you actually succeeded in getting the conversation history of viber back doing this? It works with whatsap.. I am finding that my backup is not giving me the conversation history on viber, because it seems viber is creating a clean account for me.same contacts with the same phone numbers, but no conversation history. Were you able to save your history with a backup on Viber?

I think I have the same issue. Wiped my old phone gave to my wife and restored from her backup and no messages. Upon opening Viber it asked her to start like new. Viber must have some strange way of storing their messages that if you wipe a phone they are gone and not included in the backup...
