Q: For international data, does "Cellular Data" toggle override "Data Roaming"?
I've already reviewed several similar threads and went over the following help page:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4146?viewlocale=en_US
I'm using an international sim where "Data Roaming" (within settings-->general-->cellular) must be toggled on to use data. I noticed that if I toggle-off the "Cellular Data," then "Data Roaming" will disappear entirely--but still retain it's previous setting when "Cellular Data" is toggled-on. I assume that turning off "Cellular Data" overrides everything, but I want to confirm. The international sim carrier CSR told me that both options need to be manually toggled-off to disable data use, otherwise it takes precedence over wifi (this doesn't seem right).
I'm going to be turning cellular data on/off quite frequently on my trip, and I'd prefer not to bother toggling both "cellular data" and "data roaming" every single time, when I could just leave "Data Roaming" on. Can someone wth experience please confirm? I'm using an iPhone 3GS running the most recent iOS version.
TIA
