Q: I do not have any device associated with my Apple ID (any more), but would like to associate my iPhone and my iPad. In the Account Information of my Apple ID, there is no menu for Manage Devices (as there are none connected). How can I associate them?

Thanks, AnaMusic. I had both devices associated, but deleted them (thinking that this would solve another problem). Now the "Manage Devices" button/section is not there any more - that is why this description does not help and I posted the question here.

Thanks for answering. Sorry for my ignorance and basic knowledge, Chris CA, but

1. I do not want to buy iTunes Match.

2. I thought associating is e. g. necessary when you would like to be able to localise your device via iTunes on your PC.

3. I suppose that the association has something to do with your rights on which devices and PC you can play your downloaded items.

Any clarification is welcome.
