Change order of phone numbers in Contacts

I've gone into Contacts:Preferences and set the Contacts template to show the fields I want, in the order I want.

But after time, individual contatcs seem to show phone numbers in the order in which I created them. I'd like to re-order them, so that in one contact, the home number is on top, in another the work number is on top, etc. Is there ANY way to do this short of re-entering all the phone numbers in the order I prefer?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Hi, sorry for the slight confusion. There is an app in the app store, called "Reorder It!"

I found this info in another discussion, it worked perfect for me!

I hope its clearer now... and it helps to solve your problem!

Hi Harald,

It is two days after your post, and I am having the same problem. What is app reorder please, so I can go find it? Are you saying there is an App called "Reorder?" Are you saying there is an app called "App ReOrder?" Are you saying there is a setting somewhere in settings called App Reorder? Thanks!

App reorder it seems to do the job.... found in another discussion about the same problem, worked for me...

I too have this question and the only "solution" I have found to put a newer number at the top is to delete all the other numbers which come after. 😟
