my iphone device status show: This device is not working properly? because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31), what can i do

My laptop doesn't recognized my iphone 5 as hard driver, usually it does. but today when I plug in, it start charging and show up in itune, it won't show up under my computer as hard drive. I checked my iphone device status, it shows: this device is not working properly? because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31), So what can i do, I updated software and uninstall and re-install the device, nothing happen. any suggestions?

Recommended Resolution

Reinstall the device driver using the Hardware Update wizard

  1. From Start, search for device manager and select Device Manager from the results.
  2. Right-click the device in the list.
  3. On the menu that appears, choose Update Driver to start the Hardware Update wizard.

Note You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s website.

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.
