How to solve error on updating ios 5.1.1 to ios 7.1.1 using iphone 4

Hi guys! I would like to ask if someone is having the same problem as mine, i was trying to update my iphone 4 ios 5.1.1 to 7.1.1 but when i tried to update it first using itunes on my computer it won't go through! I've tried every troubleshooting steps to solve a certain error and if i did another error will come up. By the way i am an I.T and working as a Technical Support LEVEL 2 so yes i know exactly what i'm doing. Then i tried to update my iphone 4 in its settings but still the error " ios 7.1.1 verification failed because you are no longer connected to the internet" and this just ****** me off. I realized that there are no possible option left for me to have my iphone 4 updated. Can somebody please help me on how i can update my ios to 7.1.1 without me bringing it to the apple service center?

PS. My phone is not jailbroken. Thank to you in advance!

Using itunes: Error 3194

Using iphone: You are no longer connected to the internet or network

Those errors may indicate that when the update process attempts to connect to Apple's signing server gs.apple.com the request is being redirected or blocked.

Look at what is in your Hosts file on your computer and check for any firewall in your network.

Already did this. I already checked the hosts. Deleted those #74.etc. saved it. Used different computers. Different usb ports and usb iphone connectors. All of this brought me to same moment when the itunes is verifying the ios or firmware and about to be done restoring. it basically stop about 25% left then boom error 3194 pops out.

Put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to put iPhone in DFU mode), connect in iTunes. iPhone should be detected in Recovery mode. Hit Restore.

I did everything that you guys asked me to do. Until now my iphone is useless. A friend of mine asked me to update his iphone 4 running ios 5.1.1 to ios 7.1.2 and I was able to update it without experiencing any error then I tried it again on my iphone but the same error appeared. The same (error code 3194).

This got me thinking that APPLE must have blocked my iphone from updating to later version of IOS. can someone please help me figure out and understand why this is happening to my iphone if other iphone like my friend's can update ios so easy?

Apple does not block an individual user from updating iOS on any device. You say you've done what everyone told you to do. Please tell us what it is you've tried.

Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build" - Apple Support

Are you sure it is an iPhone 4? If it is a 4S it can ONLY be updated to 8.1.2 (as of today).
