Hi, I'm new to iPhone so this may be an easy one that I'm just missing . . .
I've found that the Microphone/dictation feature is really helpful. And it actually works! I've used it in Message.
Tried in Notes but it's greyed out for some reason.
Can anyone fill me in?

It should work in Notes, but just to be sure, you need to make sure that you have an active internet connection when attempting to use it, since it uses the internet to translate the talk to text. If you do have an active connection, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release.

I don't know why that didn't occur to me. I'm home now and it works fine since I'm on my wi-fi network.
