May 9, 2014 3:29 PM in response to sandsereby Demo,★HelpfulHave you seen this which I copied from the Resolve Specific iTunes Update and Restore Errors?
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Error 1015 might happen after making unauthorized modifications to iOS, also called "jailbreaking."
Use recovery mode to restore your device
Related errors: 1015, “The required resource can't be found.”
You might see these error messages if your device has a beta version of iOS or if you're installing an older version of iOS (downgrading). Use recovery mode to restore your device to the latest version of iOS.
Quit virtualization software
Quit any virtualization software (such as Parallels or VMware) that’s running on your Mac. Then use the latest version of iTunes to restore your device.

May 9, 2014 3:45 PM in response to Demoby sandsere, yes i have tried all except contacting apple support when i plug my phone in it says iphone 5 and serial number n/a. it used to know that stuff :/ it stops when the top of itunes says restoring iphone firmware.
i must have tried to restore it 20 times today. i've tried it on my husbands computer, ive tried the host thing, turning off firewalls etc, uninstalling and re installing itunes, updating my computer, and all the "advanced steps"
i think i may just have to bring it in to the local cell phone repair shop and let them have a go at it :/

May 9, 2014 10:36 PM in response to sandsereby sandsere,We'll I checked and my water sensor thing was pink :/ I sniffed my phone and it smells like bubbles. I'm thinking my toddler spilt his bubbles on my phone. I've googled it and it seems to be a common problem with water damaged phones. Still no solution, pretty sure it's fried.

Sep 16, 2014 9:18 PM in response to sandsereby Lucasmie,If there is no hardware problem, you can try to use a free tool named ReiBoot. I recommend it to you because i used it before to exit my iPhone 5 recovery mode. Very easy to use and very excellent software. It is intelligent and you only need to press the button to put iPhone into or out of recovery mode.
