Q: Using Imac and Macbook. finding websites

Using Imac and Macbook. Recentlly I have been having real problems going to websites. - I can google but when I go to the website I'm getting "safari can't find the server" - the same happens in firefox. I switch between the two and sometime this works. This happens every day and it is so intermittent that I can't work out a solution. I have contact my interney provider and I am not experiencing any outages.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Hi..

Try this DNS server ..

Click + and type:

208.67.222.222

Click + again and do the same.

208.67.220.220

Click OK.

Try a browser.

From the menu bar, select

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network ▹ Advanced... ▹ DNS

Under DNS Servers you should have one or more numerical addresses, such as “192.168.1.1” or “10.0.0.1”. What are those addresses?
