orange livebox connection and powerbook

Yes. Please help someone out there. Pretty please. Trying to set up my sister's PB with Orange Livebox wireless. Connect only allows for WPA in dropdown menu. How do you get this changed to WEP ? Orange onlygive a WEP password. Thanks. And remember...the future is......errr....Orange !

can anyone help me.i have recently purchased a orange livebox and i cant install it.what do i need and what can i do to acheive this.

Unfortunately I barely understand basic computer terminology, so ethernet, airport etc mean nothing to me. All I know is that I've connected up the livebox, the lights are on as they should be, but no connection.
Ideas??

Hi

1. You need to connect to your livebox with a cable
2. You must access to your livebox and configure it (see manual)
3. Enable a wifi connection (wifi and airport are exactly the same)
4. Enjoy it

PS. with no decription of your problem, it is difficult to help. So you can try the help desk of orange, there are good to resolve that

I did one of these on Sunday. it's not difficult.

As I remember the box is set up using the supplied ethernet cable. Once that is done you must make the box "available" for a wifi connection.

To do this you must press one of the buttons on the side. One of the the red lights will start to flash (there's a radio mast type symbol hidden in the plastic) and then the box is discoverable for about 10 minutes.

on the bottom of the box is the WEP code.

You must enter a $ before typing the string.

Thats it.
