Q: how do i no if it is fully installed ??

i have just updated my laptop from lion to mavericks 10.9.2 .. in doing this does my background picture have to change? ... if so mine has not .. it is still got a lion on the screen does this mean it was not updated properly ?? how do i change it ??

    1. Not necessarily.

    2. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu. If it's been updated, it will be listed as version 10.9.2.

    3. If desired, open the Desktop & Screen Saver pane of System Preferences, click on Desktop, and pick a different picture.

    Select About This Mac from the Apple menu. See what version it says you are running.

     

    The wallpaper can be changed using the Desktop & Screensaver preferences.
