Bluetooth use with Apple TV

I have just got an Apple TV and want to know if the Bluetooth will work with a laptop or iPhone as mine won't?

Apple TV, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

bluetooth works for keyboards and keyboards only everythign else is wifi

	Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n) Bluetooth support for Apple Wireless Keyboard (requires Apple TV software version 5.2 or later)
