Q: 7.0.3 & GTLD Support

It was widely reported around the beginning of April that Safari 7.0.3 on Mac supported GTLDs (i.e., when entered in the address bar it would actually go to the site as opposed to bringing up a Google search.)

I found this to be the case and was very happy.

However, since then the feature seems to have been removed. Unless I am going crazy, I remember categorically visiting GTLDs successfully in Safari. Now when I try, in the same version of the software, I cannot achieve the same.

I would like to know if anyone has similar problems. An example of a gtld which should work is analytics.guru.

It won't automatically add the "www." prefix. Add that and it should work.

First of all, no that doesn't work. You could easily have tried yourself to check before posting.

Secondly, even if it did work that isn't the point. It worked once without any prefix (like www. or http://) and now it doesn't work at all.

I believe the feature has been disabled. Can anyone confirm or deny, considering that it once definitely did work and now seems not to be.
