QuickTime Flash playback

Hi,

Does a thorough set of information exist of exactly what QuickTime is capable of when it comes to Flash playback?

I ask this because I'm using AfterEffects to load SWFs through QuickTime.

From what I understand so far, it does a little of Flash 6 and ActionScript 1. However, now that I'm trying to use certain string methods that are available in ActionScript 1, it suddenly fails.

Exactly what is QuickTime capable of and exactly what isn't it capable of?

I suspect you'll need the feedback from other Flash developers (sorry, no links).
Flash is what the Internet needs. Tiny file sized "things".
QuickTime implies files are video but, since it supports Flash 5 formats, good "Pro" users can incorporate .swf files into . mov files.
QuickTime also supports "sprite" tracks which are nearly as useful as most Flash based formats but are not widely used in Web based distribution. Sprite tracks can be created in many third party tools (GoLive, as an example) and can then be added to QuickTime file formats. Some of mine as an example:

A "skinned" QT .mov file that includes some Flash (the "bubbles" in the ?) and sprite tracks that allow mouse actions. You can "pop" the bubbles in the video portion.

Subject: Exporting Flash Files (which contain embedded movie clips) to
Quicktime!

What exactly is the new Quicktime capable of?

Since the recent Quicktime upgrade to 7.13 I have had trouble with the
animations I've made in Flash and exported to Quicktime. Most of the time,
my flash animations require flash movie clips embeded in the flash timeline.
In the past, when I have exported these flash animations as Quicktime files,
there is no problems, but now, since the upgrade, the export does not play
back properly, and it is obvious that Quicktime is unhappy with these
embedded clips within the flash timeline. Is there a way around this
problem? A way for me to maintain embedded movie clips in my timeline and
still export a working Quicktime file!?!
