iPad Mini Security.

Am I coorect - I gather that I do not need to download any antivirus or security

for my ipad mini - that ios is self protected when using certain apps.

Is this true ONLY if using apps through iTunes - or does it also apply to using

other 'external' apps., and e.g. Facebook / Twitter & Linked in etc.

I am nervous that I use these with no Firewall or anti Trojan Horse protection -

am i safe ? If not any suggestions what to use = AVG ? NORTON? McAFEE? etc

Thank you

iPad mini (Retina) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.1.1

You don't need any anti-virus or security software on the iPad.

This applies to all Apps. Note that you cannot install any Apps which are not from the App Store. The Facebook, Twitter and Linked In Apps are all from the App Store.

There really isn't any useful anti-virus software for the iPad since it isn't needed or really possible.
