I bought my ipod nano before one week and there were no problems, i could use it well. today i startet itunes and there came a mistake: i should use a actualisation program..., i surfed to the apple homepage and downloaded it, startet it, it worked..., after a reboot of the computer, the ipod wasn'n known any more by the computer, i tried all support ideas of the apple page..., i rebootet it..., i installed and deinstalled itunes and ipod software..., now the ipod is't shown in itunes, in the place of windows where i can go into my hdds, it's shown as an usual mp3 player..., if the nano is linked to the computer, i can't boot it, and i can't start itunes..., i don't know what to do any more, is it broken? after one week? i can't imagine.
i installed a plugin for winamp, i can use the music on my ipod with winamp, i deistalled winamp..., and again itunes..., didn't work
what shall I do?

dA_ToNi,

Try putting the nano into manual disk mode:

1. Before manually placing the iPod into Disk Mode you should verify that it has a charge, if not you need to either charge iPod before continuing or connect it to power. You can either connect it to a high-powered USB port, or plug the iPod Power Adapter into an electrical outlet and connect iPod to the power adapter. Once charged, disconnect it from the computer or electrical outlet.
2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
3. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
5. Connect iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect".
6. Open the most recent iPod updater and select Restore.
7. Wait for the nano to restart itself and see iTunes should recognize it.
