Question

"QuickTime and a TIFF (uncompressed) decompressor are needed"

I tried to copy a photo from iPhoto into a word document and this is the message and the message I got instead of the photo was, "QuickTime and a TIFF (uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture." I'm running iLife '06 and Word for Mac 2004. Please let me know what I need to do to paste pictures from iPhoto onto a word document. Thanks.

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Yes. Click on the picture. Look on the formatting palette, red eye correction. Click on it and then click on the picture.

That's it!

That will fix the TIFF problem when you save your Power Point on mac and then open it on Windows.

Hi!

Thanks a lot - that really fixed it.

But it seems by converting the pictures, they'll get a bit less sharp.

At least, I may view them now 🙂

I still have this problem! Cannot copy images (mainly JPEG) from iPhoto into Word. The trick mentioned above did not do anything.

Are there any other solutions??

I just started seeing this problem recently myself. The pictures taken with my older camera don't have the problem.

The easy solution that works for me is to drag the picture from iPhoto to the desk top first, then drag it into the Word document.
