Part of Bookmarks Bar disappeared

Part (just one part - Computers) of my Bookmarks Bar in Safari 7.0.3 has disappeared. Nothing else, just that one. This forum was part of that listing. Any ideas?

Hi David,

If you are unable to see some or all of your bookmarks in Safari you may want to use the steps in this article to find them. Note that the article is for computers running Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8) but the steps are still relevant to Mavericks.

If you are using iCloud to sync bookmarks with this computer, you may want to also look at the following article for more troubleshooting steps -

Thanks for your reply. Not using iCloud. I have a recent Macbook (Dec 2013) and had imported my bookmarks from my old Macbook. That folder still resides in the current Safari, so I copied the Computers folder and they are back. Still curious why any of the would disappear, so will keep that import folder. Mavericks is frustrating, the spinning beach ball appears much too often and I am guissing that is because most software hasn't been updated for Mavericks yet.
