ive burned cd's with iTunes before but it hasnt let me for about the past 20 times ive tried and ive done everything apple suggested me to do on the help screen and nothing works
I get the same exact error. I have tried reinstalling itunes, lowering the burn speed, and whatever else has been suggested. I never had this problem before. I have not changed anything. Somebody please help. I purchase from the itunes store. I need my music backed up! Thank you in advance for your help!
ive had the same too. all since buying some tunes off the itunes shop. wasted cds, reinstalled itunes.
it has been suggested to reinstall the c drive, though that sounds a little drastic, since this surely is only a software problem, and i only have one hardrive in the thing, so i wouldnt really be able to uninstall, as windows is on c. ive been onto other forums, and reducing the speed of the cd drive is suggested, but again i think this doesnt need doing. the drive itself is recognised in my computer, and when a full, normal music cd is there, it recognises that, but when i put in a blank cd, itunes either fails to recognise there is one there, or now and again, starts to burn but comes back with error 4621.
currently i have re-embraced the whole analouge thing, and have a cable from one pc to another, which is then recording into a prog then moving it over to a much lesser version of itunes.
i know that sounds a rubbish way of getting the music off, but its the only way i can get it to work. other than that, if you have a program such as sound forge/ wave lab etc, then try taking a line out of the pc and back into itself to record what is playing out of itunes (again a rubbish way, but will work, and you should be able to burn onto cd that way).
please let me know if you find an answer that is more realistic.
why is no one from Apple helping us out? I can't burn all the albums I've recently purchased from iTunes now. What a waste of money.. Does anyone out there know how to fix error 4621????
I think I have finally found the mystery of the burning CD and error. This version of Itunes is not recognizing the space on a music disc or blank disc.
I purchased 12 songs - tried to burn them to a blank disc - time after time, it would stop half way through with the error everyone is getting.
I finally decided to only burn half the songs on one disc and half on another disc - it worked - then I took those two disc to another recording program that I have and was able to combine the two disc into one disc - a pain in the butt but at least I now know the problem - iTunes can't figure out how much room you have on your own disc - that is just so wrong!!!!
