Q: I have an iphone 4 that is UK locked and I want to use it in India. What is the procedure to unlock the phone?Can anyone please suggest me on the same

Hi,

 

Recently, I have purchased an iphone 4 32 GB from my friend and the phone has a country lock. The phone is from UK and the carrier on which phone has been locked is "ORANGE". I want to use the same phone in India. I want to unlock the phone. Can you please suggest me what is the procedure to unlock the phone. How can I pay the amount to ORANGE carrier and can use my iphone in India.

 

Request you to please help me on the same.

    You will need to contact Orange in the UK and ask about their unlocking policies. Only Orange can authorize unlocking if your iPhone. They may refuse to do so for you since you are not their customer in which case you will have to have your friend contact them.

    Contact ORANGE to unlock it.

    If you are NOT in the UK then you will not get an unlock from Orange

    You need to be an active customer using the iPhone in the UK on Contract or PAYG and the the iPhone must be visable as active on  their systems in UK
