Iphone 5c cdma sprint unlock

Hello i recently bought an iphone 5c from the US locked to cdma Sprint and the owner of the phone told me she called sprint and they unlocked it but they have like this master code which they gave her to give me can it be unlocked from outside the US. Because the owner told me she was given ghe insstrictions by Sprint for me to give this unlock master code to my new carrier. Is it possible thanks am so confused on what to do !!

That is totally wrong. There is no "code" to unlock iPhones. Either you misunderstood or the owner lied to you. When a carrier unlocks an iPhone they notify Apple that the phone is unlocked. You then must connect the phone to iTunes and restore it as a new phone. If it was really unlocked you will see a message when the restore completes that says "Congratulations. Your iPhone is unlocked."

Yes, that is correct and if the phone that you purchased was locked to Sprint, then yes, only Sprint can unlock the phone for you and nobody else.


However, no, once the phone has been unlocked by Sprint it will not lock again. If it has been officially unlocked by Sprint, then you can put as many sim cards into the phone as you like and it should not lock.
