Q: my iphone keeps connecting and disconnecting to my laptop and a pop up sign keeps appearing saying trust or do not trust WHAT THE HECK DO I DO ... i've tried different leads but i don't think its the lead

I've tried to get my iphone up to date, however after inserting the USB lead into my laptop to connect, the connection and disconnection sounds keep playing. I don't think it has anything to do with the USB lead as I have tried it with three leads already and the same thing keeps happening

any suggestions on what i can do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
