Are there issues with Mavericks and PowerPoint?
My MacBook Air keeps freezing and running slow when using MS PowerPoint (2011). Are there any known issues or conflicts with PPT and Mavericks?

No. Office 2011 works fine for me. Perhaps you need to completely uninstall it, then reinstall it from your original media.
