Q: 3.6 volt battery...

and I'm pretty sure OWC will ship to your fair country. We have a lot of older Macs in our menagerie so I order 3-5 at a time and stick the spares in the veg drawer of the wife's frig to give them long shelf life.

Do you have Radio Shack/Tandy stores? They have the proper battery as part number 23-026. Might be 4-5X what OWC charges but at least it would not require shipping across borders.

I'll also ask a Toronto area healp if he has any beter ideas.

I also solder two 1.5V AA battery to use as 3.5V 1/2AA one, and it works well.

Great outcome! RS/Tandy/The Source has sold that battery a long time, not so much for Mac users but rather it seems to be a common backup battery in security alarm systems. If that is the case, maybe they will be around a while!
