Q: 3.6 volt battery...
My legacy trojans the LC 520, Power PC 8500, QuickSilver G4, and iMac G3 use those 3.6 volt battery. How did they come up with that voltage ? Well I have a an idea but no need to upset Mother Apple these days.
In Canada these 3.6 volt batteries are harder and harder to find and accordingly becoming more and more expensive especially shipping/handling from the USA . Something to do with everyone's homeland security albeit money solves that worry.
Has anyone fabricated a battery that will do the job. For example, I put together three AAA Duracells in my Performa 6360. No problems with the Mac and hasnit blown up the house.
I was planning to solder two AAA Duracells which will give me 3 volts that may or may not give my Mac's headaches. Is that any different from a 3.6 that evently drains down past the 3.6 volt level ?

Do you have Radio Shack/Tandy stores? They have the proper battery as part number 23-026. Might be 4-5X what OWC charges but at least it would not require shipping across borders.
I'll also ask a Toronto area healp if he has any beter ideas.
