GTX 660 on MacPro 2010 Bad Performance

Hi guys!

I have the same problem.

I mounted a Gigabyte GTX 660 2048MB on my MacPro 2010 with 10.9.2 Sys, It goes well but I notice that video performance is poor compared to windows (more precisely I reach a double points in win video benchmark like LuxBench or I notice strange glitches when I play COD 4 on my MP). I searched on internet and I found that with the older version of OSX the card works better, so I tried and I verify that with 10.8.6 It is true, I reach much more performance in bench etc. Also it seems that in the OSX version before 10.8.2 (since the driver became native!) the card worked better then after! 😐 . I installed NVIDIA driver too but without any improvement in performance. How I can solve this problem ??

Thank you

Sorry for my bad english

no problem

your card isn't 100% officially supported by Apple, so whatever drivers you have for it are the ones you're going to get.

with Windows, drivers have been written for that card, and are updated regularly, so its video performance should be better. If your card works better on 10.8.6 and 10.8.2 then 10.9, I suppose all you can do is see if you can "roll back" your mac pro to 10.8.6, other than that, be patient and wait for 10.9.3 (or sign up for the Beta Test thing)
