How do I reset my iPhone 5s once it is on lost mode?

My phone was stolen a couple of months ago and I put it on lost mode so the person would not be able to use it. After using find my Iphone recently I ended up getting the phone back by confronting the guy at his house a couple of days ago. The problem is I forgot the code I used to put it on lost mode since it was a while ago and now I cant use my phone because I can not remember the code I used. Is there a way to manually deactivate the phone being on lost mode or is there some type of software I could use? The new IOS update restricts Iphone's from being used while it is on lost mode but now that I have my phone back I want to be able to use it! Please Help. The phone is a Iphone 5S.

Hi

You should be able to log back into icloud and turn off lost mode from there see here:

If its your icloud password you have forgotten you will probably have to restore the device. Once done, you can restore from backup, but any data on your phone, not backed up, is gone. For this you can try forcing to phone into recovery mode and then restore from there see here:

Hope this helps
