iCal unreadable

Question

iCal unreadable

Am trying to import iCal info into, yes, iCal. I get a message that my iCal is unreadable. This is an iBook. iCal 1.5.5 OS X3.9 Thanks for any info on this....

How did you make the iCal info? Was it exported, or just a copy of the data files?

Exported from a website... it claims to be compatible with Outlook, but it shows as an iCal file format

here is the precise situation: when I download these particular .ics files from a website to my desktop then try and import to iCal (v. 1.5.5) the message I get is that the file is unreadable. The same files were downloaded to Outlook on my PC (shudder!) at work.

Try exporting from the website just a single event. When you get it on your Mac desktop, open it with Text Editor and copy the contents. Paste them into a reply so that we can see it - change any sensitive information first!

I am getting the same error message. To look at the file I am trying to import into iCal, click on this link (direct link to .ics)

Sorry for not posting back on this - it disappeared below the horizon. The file you are attempting to import is missing a line - after the final END:VEVENT it should have a line END:VCALENDAR

I added the line with Text Edit and the three events imported successfully.
