I've seen the same problem for other ipad users. Why? I cannot go more than 2 pages on ebay before I have to switch off and restart - a real pain. Apple get this sorted! Not acceptable this day and age. I have an iPad Air - the latest in Apple technology...

First off ill point out that you are not talking to apple here. We are all users like yourself trying to help each other out.
I regularly use the eBay app on both my iPad and my iPhone and have never had my device freeze. Somethings that you might try are quitting the eBay app and restarting it again. If your iPad freezes reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. Then quit the eBay app like I describe below and start it again.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
You might also try reinstalling the eBay app. Delete the app from your iPad then use the App Store app to download it again.
Make sure you have enough free space on your iPad. With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
are you using the e bay app, or safari? they seem to have the app figured out pretty well.
